The Village’s Capital Infrastructure Plan identified needed improvements to Hillgrove Avenue, including repairs to the street surface, sidewalks, and underground utilities. At the same time, the Village has a unique opportunity to enhance the public realm as these infrastructure improvements are completed.  

Following the scheduled utility and infrastructure improvements, restoration of this site will improve pedestrian safety, accessibility, and connectivity while incorporating new landscaping, streetscape elements, and urban design features that create a more attractive and welcoming environment. 

This project is estimated to begin construction in Spring of 2030. 

We want to hear from you about what is important to you as we develop the conceptual design for the Hillgrove Avenue improvements. Our initial phase of community outreach will include tabling at the Gathering on the Green event and an online survey to collect feedback on preliminary design concepts and desired features.
